“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” ~ 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
My perfect pathways have a balance of sunlight and shade. The warmth of the sun feels so good that I want to stand in it and stare at the sun all day. I get lost in it’s rays. The problem is that basking in the direct light too long can damage my skin and my eyes. Thank God for the protective shade.
Decades ago these trees were planted to be just the right height to help me escape my temptation to linger too long. There’s not much of a chance that I’ll fall asleep in the shade. I’m cold natured so I’ll saunter forward towards the next beam of light.
Walking has always been one of my coping skills. The air. The sun. The shade. And the trees that have been a witness to it all. These things keep me from falling while I process all the situations of my life. Thanking God for solutions.
