I meditated on what to say all day. I know it’s Christmas Eve and the go-to topic is the birth of our Lord and Savior. But we know that the calendar date set aside is symbolic and not actual. Yet still, we rejoice that our Savior was born! He gave His life for the fulfillment of God’s word and the saving of our sin-sick souls. This is where my thoughts remain.
So I simply say Lord my God thank you! I will lift your name high. I am grateful that your will is being done in a land where I can bear witness. My heart is ever thirsty for the satisfying savor of your word. I accept my corrections, because they act as a buffer to keep me from going astray. Your standards keep me safe. With your grace in mind, I also forgive others who may bump into me along the way. I will be slow to offense, but quick with understanding. Temptations come with the world, but you have been faithful to provide my every escape.
